UVA students have FAR higher rates of volunteerism and public service than those at peer institutions, and contrary to national trends they deepen their involvement across four years of study. While community engagement through the curriculum is expanding rapidly across the University, student commitments to public service through volunteerism remains strong. The tabs below offer a range of upcoming volunteer opportunities for arriving students; we encourage returning students to consider making ever deeper investments in community partners through the course of their time as a student. Sustained relationships have exponentially greater impacts on both the community and the volunteer.
