Dementia and Acute Coronary Syndrome

This interesting case involves a patient with an acute coronary syndrome and history of dementia. The intersection of treatable coronary heart disease and dementia is both a medical and philosophical challenge as it can be difficult to decide the extent of non-invasive and invasive evaluation in such patients. In this case, the physicians chose to pursue coronary angiography but did not recommend more invasive revascularization.
