Supraventricular Tachycardia Top 10

Supraventricular tachycardia may be defined as an abnormally rapid heart rhythm originating above the ventricles, often, but not always, with a narrow QRS complex on the ECG. The differential diagnosis for such rhythms includes sinus tachycardia, AV nodal re-entrant tachycardia, AV re-entrant tachycardia, atrial tachycardia, sinoatrial nodal re-entrant tachycardia, multifocal atrial tachycardia, junctional tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and atrial flutter. This tutorial will primarily focus on AV nodal re-entrant tachycardia (AVNRT), AV reentrant tachycardia (AVRT), and atrial tachycardia (AT).

In this course, you will learn:

• To identify SVT rhythms on the ECG.
• To define the correct uses of adenosine.
• To correctly manage patients with pre-excitation syndromes.

Method and medium:
