This online course opportunity is made possible through a joint partnership with University of Virginia School of Medicine (UVASOM) and Nursing (SON) and Provider Clinical Support System (PCSS-MAT) and APNA (American Psychiatric Nurses Association). The course consists of 16 individual sessions of the required 24 hours of content for nurses who wish to offer medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorders including buprenorphine. Sessions include webinars and self-paced slide presentations with case studies, post-tests, and evaluation of the content.

Estimated time to complete this activity: 17.5 hours Release date: March 1, 2020 Expiration date: February 28, 2023 goal of this course is to make available the most effective medication treatments to serve patients in a variety of settings, including primary care, psychiatric care, and pain management settings. This is a 16 hour course developed for health care professionals. Upon successful completion, continuing medical education credit can be redeemed.
