Left Ventricular Function & Geometry 2: LV Geometry

Left Ventricular Function & Geometry 2: LV Geometry image

The purpose of this Left Ventricular Function and Geometry series is to assist the reader in measuring both volumetric and pressure-based metrics of left ventricular performance as well as quantifying relevant structural characteristics of the LV. This particular course focuses on ventricular thickness and size, and cardiomyopathies of the LV.

In this course, you will learn:

  • Measuring ventricular thickness and size
  • Left ventricular volume at end-diastole (LVEDV)
  • Ventricular aneurysms and pseudoaneurysms

Method and medium:

Learners participate in the interactive learning modules by correctly answering multiple choice questions dispersed throughout. Learners will be prompted to try again if a question is answered incorrectly.

The course will open in a new tab – to exit the course, simply close that tab.
