Acute aortic dissection is an uncommon but highly lethal condition. With modern diagnostic and therapeutic surgical, endovascular, and medical therapies, there is new hope for many of these patients. In this Top 10 exercise, we identify the important diagnostic and therapeutic options for many patients.

In this course, you will learn:

  • To identify patients based on risk factors and presenting clinical characteristics.
  • To describe the current classification systems and the clinical implications of the type and extent of aortic dissection.
  • To enumerate the typical complications of aortic dissection and to identify complications clinically.

Method and medium:
